We match and confirm
We pair you with a vetted worker and confirm within one business day.

Ready to work your way. Recurring placements keep the same person on your aisle.

From the barn
Every system we sell runs here first.
Bay Light Farm, our own barn in Newberg, Oregon. Boarding, lessons, training and sales. It is where we learned what a barn actually needs.

Who runs Second Rein
MikeandJillian Leighty
Co-founders, Newberg, Oregon
We built the company we wished we could call.
We run a boarding barn and founded a horse rescue. We know the early feeds, the no-shows and the stack of unpaid invoices. Second Rein is the help we needed, built to a standard we would trust with our own horses.
- Bay Light Farm
Our equestrian boarding operation. Daily care, boarders, schedules, all of it.
- Oregon Horse Haven
The 501(c)(3) equine rescue we founded. Volunteers, intake and care on a nonprofit budget.
- Nike, Adobe, Cisco
Mike's operations and strategy background: process design, vendor management and scaling large teams.

Stories
Case zero: our own barn.
Before we offered Second Rein to anyone, we ran it at home. Lesson scheduling, leases, camps, boarder billing and client follow-up at Bay Light Farm run on the same systems we set up for clients.
We are now taking on our first partner barns. Their stories will live here, told with their permission and in their words.
Barn Health Check
How is your barn really doing?
Twelve questions. About three minutes. A clear read on staffing, admin and growth, with the first fix for each. No email required to see your results.

The real cost of a no-show lesson
One empty slot a week looks small. Run the numbers for a year and it is a part-time salary.

How to vet barn help before they touch your horses
A good résumé does not tell you how someone moves around a nervous horse. Here is the five-step check we use.

The winter back-office checklist
The quiet months are when good barns get ready for a full spring. Eight things to finish before the days get long.
Built for barns. Not adapted from somewhere else.
Riding schools, training programs and boarding facilities all run on the same thin margins and long days. We built every part of Second Rein around that.
Workers who know horses
Horse handling is assessed in person before placement. General labor help still has to be safe around a horse.
A back office with your name on it
Every admin client gets a dedicated email and phone number for their program. Clients reach your barn, not a call center.
Show season, handled
RingRadar setup, class lists, entries, scratches and adds. Add schooling show admin to any monthly plan.
Prices you can plan around
Flat monthly tiers. Setup fees stated up front. Staffing rates confirmed in writing before your first placement.
Run the barn. We’ll run the rest.
