Second Rein Solutions was founded in 2026 by Mike and Jillian Leighty in Newberg, Oregon. We serve barns across the Pacific Northwest, and we are building to serve barns nationwide.
Why we started Second Rein.
We run Bay Light Farm, an equestrian boarding barn. We founded Oregon Horse Haven, a 501(c)(3) equine rescue. Between them we have lived every part of barn life: the early feeds, the late invoices, the worker who did not show, the boarder who texts at 10 p.m.
Good help was hard to find. Good admin was harder. Most barns we know feel the same. They are run by people who got into this for the horses and ended up spending their nights on scheduling and billing.
So we built the help we wanted. One team for staffing, admin and marketing, held to the standard we would want for our own horses.

Mike Leighty

Mike leads barn staffing and sourcing: finding barn clients, recruiting and vetting workers, partnerships and pricing. Before Second Rein he spent his career in operations and strategy leadership at Nike, Adobe and Cisco, designing processes, managing vendors and scaling large teams.
Jillian Leighty
Co-founder
Jillian leads admin and client operations: onboarding new barns, building the admin systems, and the day-to-day client communication that keeps every program running. When you call your dedicated admin line, her systems are behind the answer.
