Job Types We Cover

Every worker in the SRS network is matched to shifts based on their specific skills and experience. Here’s what we cover.

Stall Cleaning & Mucking

Stall mucking, bedding, water buckets, and basic barn tidying. Our most requested shift type.

Turnout & Horse Handling

Catching, haltering, turnout, bringing in, and basic groundwork safety. Confident horse handling required.

Grooming & Bathing

Grooming, bathing, mane and tail care, and tacking up or down. Experienced horse handling required.

Feeding & Daily Care

Morning and evening feed, supplements, water checks, and blanket changes. Available for recurring placements.

General Barn Labor

Sweeping, organizing, equipment prep, hay stacking, and paddock maintenance. Great for busy days and events.

How It Works

We handle the coordination so you can focus on your horses and your program. Here’s how a typical staffing request works.

  1. Submit a Request

Contact SRS with your job type, date, hours needed, and any specific requirements. We’ll confirm availability within one business day.

  2. We Match & Confirm

SRS selects a vetted worker from our network who fits your needs and confirms the placement with both you and the worker.

  3. Worker Arrives On-Site

Your assigned worker shows up ready to work. Your team directs the day - we’ve already handled the coordination.

  4. SRS Invoices You

After the shift we send a clean invoice. For recurring placements we invoice weekly. No surprises.

Who We Send to Your Barn

Every worker in the SRS Barn Staffing network completes a rigorous vetting process before their first placement. We don’t send strangers - we send people we’ve already screened, assessed, and approved.

  1. Application & Screening Interview

We review work history, horse experience, and availability before anyone joins the network.

  2. Two Professional References

Equine or professional context required. We check them.

  3. Background Check

Completed before every placement, every time.

  4. Horse Handling Assessment

A questionnaire covering safety, behavior, and basic care protocols specific to the job type.

  5. Trial Shift Evaluation

Every worker completes a trial shift before full network approval. Barns provide feedback.
