Good barn work. Steady, fair, and respected.
We are building a network of barn workers and barn managers across the Pacific Northwest. If you are good with horses and you show up, we want to talk.
Who we are looking for.
Hands-on barn workers and experienced barn managers. Some want a few shifts. Some want a regular schedule at one barn.
Barn workers
Stall cleaning, turnout and horse handling, grooming and bathing, feeding and daily care, general barn labor.
Riders and instructors
Lesson coverage and training rides for barns that need an extra qualified rider.
Barn managers and administrators
Experienced equestrian operations people comfortable working remotely or in a hybrid setup.
People who take horses seriously
Safety, judgment and reliability matter more to us than a long résumé.
What working with us is like.
Clear assignments
You know the barn, the hours and the work before you say yes.
Blocks that make the drive worth it
Half-day placements are a four hour minimum. Full days are eight hours.
Regular placements
Recurring placements keep you at the same barn with the same horses.
We handle the billing
Barns are invoiced by Second Rein. You do not chase anyone for payment.
What the vetting involves.
It is thorough because the barns trust us with their horses. Here is every step, so there are no surprises.
Application and screening interview
Tell us about your barn experience. Then a conversation with our team.
Two professional references
Equine or professional. Have names and phone numbers ready.
Background check
Completed before your first placement.
Horse handling assessment
Show us how you work around horses.
Trial shift evaluation
A real shift at a barn, with feedback from that barn.
